Rental Manager Overview
The Rental Manager is your day-to-day cockpit for every rental in your account. It's a single page (/my-account/rental-manager/) with six tabs covering bookings, inventory, fleet maintenance, analytics, payouts, and settings — plus a one-click + New Rental button for offline / phone-in bookings.
Where it lives
Open the dashboard at:
https://hilucy.com/my-account/rental-manager/
You'll need a logged-in account with one of: manage_woocommerce, listing_owner, edit_products, hilucy_manager, or hilucy_staff. What you see is filtered to your role and your assigned vendor / location.
The six tabs
| Tab | What it's for | |---|---| | Rentals | Calendar, KPI cards, list of upcoming/current/past rentals, per-booking actions | | Inventory | Product stock, pricing tiers, seasonal date adjustments, week-at-a-glance grid | | Fleet | Vehicle data (plate, odometer, fuel), availability grid, maintenance log | | Analytics | Revenue/booking/utilization KPIs, customer & add-on insights, 14/30/90-day forecast | | Partners | OAuth connectors (Stripe, Cloudbeds, Acuity, Google), payout ledger, affiliate links, commissions | | Settings | Pickup/dropoff stores, delivery zones, notification preferences |
Tabs are deep-linkable via URL hash — …/rental-manager/#fleet opens the Fleet tab directly.
Hero controls
At the top of every tab you have:
- Store Switcher — filter to a single pickup/dropoff location (or "All Locations")
- Vendor Filter — for admins managing multiple owners, switch context to a specific vendor
- + New Rental — opens the Manual Rental Entry modal
Cross-cutting workflows
Beyond per-tab actions, there are a few workflows worth understanding:
- Cross-vertical rentals & activities — how hotel rentals, scooter rentals, and activities coexist
- Cloudbeds dual-write & rentals — what happens when reservations sync from a PMS
- Roles & permissions — who sees what
What's coming
The Handover Checklist (per-pickup and per-return digital walkaround with photos, signature, fuel/odometer) is rolled out in Dev/Staging environments. We'll mark it generally available once it's promoted to production.
