Affiliate Links and Revenue Share
Affiliate links let you (or your partners) drive bookings and earn a share. The Partners tab generates them; the ledger tracks the resulting commissions.
Generate an affiliate link
- Partners tab → Affiliate Links → + New link.
- Pick the target — a specific listing, product, or your full storefront.
- Optionally set:
- Campaign tag — free-form (e.g.
instagram-spring-26) for analytics - Custom slug — make the URL more memorable
- Campaign tag — free-form (e.g.
- Click Create. The dashboard shows the URL and a downloadable QR code.
The URL has the form:
https://hilucy.com/?ref=<affiliate-id>&utm_source=<campaign>
Sharing it pre-fills attribution: any booking made by a guest who lands via this URL within the attribution window earns a commission to the link owner.
Attribution window
By default, the platform attributes a booking to an affiliate URL if the guest:
- Lands on the URL, AND
- Books within 30 days, AND
- Hasn't visited a different affiliate URL more recently
The 30-day window is configurable per-tenant by an admin (in Commission Rules, scope = affiliate).
Where commissions show up
Every attributed booking generates a Commission entry in the Payout Ledger with:
- Type = Commission
- Source = the booking
- Notes = the affiliate ID + campaign tag
Commissions follow the same Pending → Approved → Paid lifecycle as platform-fee commissions.
QR code use cases
- Print — flyers, business cards, room QRs
- Tents — at the front desk or in-room
- Stickers — on partner property (e.g. café table tents pointing to your scooter rental)
The Ally / Rent a Scooter Tulum partnership uses this exact pattern: each KAN Tulum room has a QR pointing to her scooters, and every booking earns her a commission via this flow.
Revoke a link
You can disable a link without breaking historical bookings:
- Click the link row → Disable.
- Future visitors get a 410 Gone with a polite redirect home.
- Existing attributed bookings keep their commissions intact.
