You can use the Rental Finder almost entirely without logging in — searching, browsing, even chatting with Lucy works anonymously. But logging in unlocks continuity across devices and persistent trip history.

What works without login

You can plan and complete an entire trip without ever creating an account.

What persists across sessions when you log in

Logging in makes a few things stickier:

  • Chat history — your Lucy conversation persists across devices and browsers, so you can pick up on your phone where you left off on your laptop
  • Booking history — see all your past and upcoming bookings in one place
  • Saved preferences — language, currency, and any future personalisation
  • Post-stay feedback — direct access to leave feedback after a stay completes

Arrival flow (no login required)

When you book a rental that includes a stay (e.g. a hotel room), you'll receive an arrival link in your booking confirmation. The link uses a secure token, not a login — clicking it brings you straight into the arrival flow. No password needed, ever.

Post-stay feedback

After your stay completes, you can leave feedback through the Guest Portal:

  1. Go to /checkout?booking_id=<your-booking> (this link is in your post-stay email)
  2. Sign in (this is the one feedback step that does require login)
  3. Fill in your impressions, ratings, and any photos
  4. Submit. The feedback goes to the property owner and helps improve the service

📝 The Phase G feedback flow is rolling out. If your property hasn't enabled it yet, your post-stay email will direct you elsewhere (e.g. Google reviews, TripAdvisor).

Lucy chat threading

Without login:

  • Your chat is bound to your browser via a cookie
  • Clearing cookies or switching browsers = new chat thread
  • Within a single browser session, your conversation stays continuous

With login:

  • Your chat is bound to your account
  • Same conversation across all devices

Privacy note

HiLucy never shares your bookings, chat history, or preferences with other guests. Property operators can see your booking and post-stay feedback (if you submit any) — that's the same privacy model as any hotel booking.
